Bioactivity vDifficidin is an antibiotic, that can be produced by Bacillus velezensis. Difficidin exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity through suppression of protein biosynthesis. Difficidin is potent in controlling plant pathogens, such as Erwinia amylovora (orchard fire blight) and Xanthomonas oryzae (rice disease)[1].
