Bioactivity Deoxynybomycin is an antibiotic, that can be isolated from Streptomyces, and antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. Deoxynybomycin is the inhibitor for DNA gyrase and Topoisomerase I. Deoxynybomycin induces expression of p21/WAF1, exhibits cytotoxicity and induces apoptosis in cancer cells Saos-2, TMK-1, and THP-1[1][2].
