| Bioactivity | D-threo-PDMP hydrochloride is a glucosylceramide (GlcCer) synthase inhibitor that inhibits glucosylceramide (GlcCer) and lactosylceramide (LacCer) levels in B16 melanoma cells. D-threo-PDMP hydrochloride lacks reactivity to the other two surface antigens anti-melanoma monoclonal antibodies M562 and M622 and the major histocompatibility antigen anti-H-2KbDb monoclonal antibody, so it is specific for B16 melanoma sex[1]. |
