Bioactivity | Catalase, Trichoderma reesei, is a catalase enzyme that catalyzes the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into water (H2O) and oxygen (O2). Catalase is mainly present in peroxisomes and shuttles between the cytoplasm and peroxisomes, thereby protecting cells from oxidative damage. Abnormal activity or expression of catalase is closely related to the occurrence and development of cancer[1]. |
