Bioactivity | COX/5-LO-IN-1 (Atreleuton analog) is an inhibitor of cylooxygenase and 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO), used for the research of inflammatory and allergic disease states. |
Invitro | COX/5-LO-IN-1 reduces the biosynthesis of leukotrienes B4, C4, D4, and E4 and cyclooxygenase products such as prostaglandins and thromboxane and are useful in the treatment of inflammatory and allergic disease states[1]. COX/5-LO-IN-1 shows inhibitory activities against 5-lipoxygenase, with IC50 of 0.2 μM in human whole blood[2]. |
