Bioactivity Blepharotriol is a phenolic triterpene that can be found in Maytenus blepharodes. Blepharotriol shows antimicrobial activity with a MIC value of 8-4 µg/ml for Bacillus subtilis. Blepharotriol shows cytotoxic activity with IC50s of 12.2, >20, >20 µM for HeLa, Hep-2, Vero cells, respectively[1].
