Bioactivity BTA-188, a pyridazinyl oxime ether, is an orally active, potent inhibitor of rhinoviruses (HRV) and enterovirus (EV) 71 in vitro. BTA-188 inhibits HRV-2 replication with an IC50 of 0.8 nM and an IC90 of 11 nM. BTA-188 inhibits enterovirus with an IC50 of 82 and an IC90 of 109 nM. BTA-188 is a potential chemotherapeutic agent for infections caused by the viruses in the Picornaviridae[1].
