Bioactivity Apoptosis inducer 8 (Compound 7c) is a galectin-1 (gal-1) mediated apoptosis-inducing agent against global major leading lung cancer burden. Apoptosis inducer 8 significantly reduced the gal-1 protein level. Apoptosis inducer 8 is also a PET imaging agent[1].
Invitro Apoptosis inducer 8 (Compound 7c) exhibits an excellent growth inhibition against A-549, NCI-H460, MCF-7 and MDA-MB-23 cells with IC50 values of 0.63 ± 0.21, 0.99 ± 0.01, 1.3 ± 0.18 and 0.94 ± 0.02 µM, respectively[1].
