Bioactivity Acetate kinase (ACK) is an enzyme widely distributed in bacteria and archaea. In the presence of ATP and divalent cations, it catalyzes the phosphorylation of acetate and promotes the production of acetyl-CoA. Often used in biochemical research[1].
