Bioactivity 9-Oxononanoic acid (9-ONA) is secondary reaction product of lipid peroxidation. 9-Oxononanoic acid induces phospholipase A2 (PLA2) activity and thromboxane A2 (HY-113350) production (TXA2). 9-Oxononanoic acid induces the platelet aggregation in human blood. 9-Oxononanoic acid is orally active[1].
