Bioactivity | 4-MDM (4-Methoxydiphenylmethane) is an orally active anti-inflammatory compound that selectively enhances the Leukotriene A4 Hydrolase (LTA4H) aminopeptidase enzyme activity. 4-MDM reduces the neutrophil recruitment in the lung by enhancing the degradation of proline-glycine-proline by LTA4H, thereby reducing inflammation, and does not affect the epoxy-hydrolase activity of LTA4H. 4-MDM can be used for research on lung diseases[1]. |
