Bioactivity 2-Hydroxy-3-methylanthraquinone (compound 1) is a natural compound isolated from a water extract of Hedyotis diffusa WILLD. 2-Hydroxy-3-methylanthraquinone shows inhibitory activity against protein tyrosine kinases v-src and pp60src, and induces growth arrest and apoptosis in the HepG2 cancer cells[1].
