Bioactivity 2,3,5-Tri-O-benzyl-D-ribose (Compound 1) is an effective inhibitor of Botrytis cinerea chitin synthase (CHS) with an IC50 value of 1.8 μM. 2,3,5-Tri-O-benzyl-D-ribose exhibits antifungal activity and is able to inhibit the B. cinerea BD90 strain, with a MIC value of 190 μM[1].
