Bioactivity 1-Pyrenebutanoyl-CoA is a type of coenzyme A that can non-competitively inhibit (Ki = 2 pM) phosphorylating (ADP-stimulated) respiration in rat liver mitochondria, and competitively inhibit (Ki = 2.1 pM and 15 pM) carnitine palmitoyl-CoA transferase and octanoyl-CoA transferase[1].
