| Description | Acetyl-(Cys4,D-Phe7,Cys10)-α-MSH (4-13) also called [Ac-Cys4, DPhe7, Cys10] a-MSH (4-13), amide. The substitution of D-Phe7 for L-Phe7 in this cyclic MSH sequence led to a superagonist with ultraprolonged melanotropic activity in the frog and lizard skin bioassays. Additionally, Acetyl-(Cys4,D-Phe7,Cys10)-α-MSH (4-13) showed a complete resistance to tryptic degradation. |
