2-Methoxyhydroquinone is a phenolic compound that reduces TNF-α-induced chemokine (CC motif) ligand 2 (CCL2) production with an IC50 value of 64.3 µM. 2-Methoxyhydroquinone is also a synthetic precursor of the Hsp90 inhibitor Geldanamycin.
