| Description | Patchouli alcohol (Patchoulol) is a sesquiterpene alcohol found in patchouli oil. It has antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral actions. Patchouli alcohol also suppresses inflammation induced by lipopolysaccharide in vivo. Topical application of patchouli alcohol accelerates recovery from ultraviolet irradiation-induced skin damage through antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. |
