Description L-Glutamic acid-15N is the 15N-labeled version of L-Glutamic acid, an excitatory neurotransmitter and an agonist at metabotropic, kainate, NMDA, and AMPA glutamate receptor subtypes. It directly activates the release of dopamine (DA) from dopaminergic terminals.
In vitro Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs[1].
