Description | GSK369796 Dihydrochloride (N-tert-butylisoquine),is an anti-malaria drug candidate. is an affordable and effective antimalarial and inhibits hERG potassium ion channel repolarization(IC50 of 7.5 μM) |
In vitro | Analysis of antiviral activities indicated that GSK369796 has high anti-DENV activity in the DENV2 replicon expressing cells with EC50 values of 5.06 ± 0.86 μM. The infectivity assays revealed the EC50 values of 3.03 ± 0.35 μM. The mode of action of this compound is through inhibition of autophagy, thereby affecting DENV2 replication. Moreover, this compounds also showed antiviral activity against the rapidly emerging Zika virus (ZIKV) with EC50 values of 2.57 ± 0.09 μM (GSK369796)[1]. |
