Description Emepronium bromide is an anticholinergic drug used in urology as an antispasmodic. It can cause ulceration of esophagus, so it should be taken in orthostatic position with sufficient amounts of liquids. It is a muscarinic antagonist used mainly in the treatment of urinary syndromes. It is incompletely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and does not cross the blood-brain barrier.
