It can cause ulceration of esophagus, so it should be taken in orthostatic position with sufficient amounts of liquids. It is a muscarinic antagonist used mainly in the treatment of urinary syndromes. It is incompletely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and does not cross the blood-brain barrier. |
