In vitro Apidaecin IB is an insect antimicrobial peptide, with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of 64 μM for K. pneumoniae 22, 4?8 μM for S. typhimurium ATCC 14028 and 8-16 μM for S. enteritidis (D5, PD1).
