Description Primin is a natural product stored in trichomes on leaves and stems of Primula obconica, with antimycobacterial, and strong antineoplastic actions.
In vitro Primin 对 Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense (IC50 0.144 microM) 和 Leishmania donovani (IC50 0.711 microM) 显示出极高的活性,并且对哺乳动物细胞的细胞毒性较低 (IC50 15.4 microM)。针对 Mycobacterium tuberculosis、Trypanosoma cruzi 和 Plasmodium falciparum,Primin 只表现出中等的抑制活性。在采用 Trypanosoma b. brucei 啮齿动物模型进行的体内有效性测试中,通过腹膜注射给予 20 mg/kg 的 Primin 未能治愈感染。在用于 L. donovani 感染的小鼠上,Primin 在更高浓度下 (30 mg/kg, 通过 i.p. 路径注射) 在体内过于有毒。
