| Bioactivity | Hydracarbazine is a pyridazine. Hydracarbazine can effectively lower blood pressure, it can be used for the research of high blood pressure[1][2]. |
| In Vivo | Hydracarbazine (1-4 mg/kg; i.v. once) induced in the dog, cat and rabbit hypotension by peripheral vasodilation, showed no inhibitory action on vasomotor centers and decreased the hypertensive effects of adrenaline, noradrenaline, 5-hydroxytryptamine, pituitrin, and splanchnic nerve stimulation[1].Hydracarbazine (15-18 mg/kg; p.o. once daily) prevents the increased blood pressure and heart rate, reduces the renal histol and reduces the hypertensive syndrome with a combination of pempidine in high arterial pressure rats[2]. |
