| Description | Toxic Shock Syndrome Toxin-1 (TSST-1) is a "superantigen" which binds to MHC class II molecules and induces stimulation of T cells. Toxic Shock Syndrome Toxin-1 (TSST-1) (58-78) is a fragment of Toxic Shock Syndrome Toxin-1 (TSST-1), it has an active site of the TSST-1 holotoxin which binds to MHC class II molecules and is able to xenostimulate T cells in an MHC unrestricted manner. Therefore this peptide could be of great value in studying the immunobiology of MHC class II molecules. |
