| Description | Peptide 74 was derived from a cysteine containing sequence from the prosegment of the 72-kD type IV collagenase. Peptide 74 inhibited the tumor cell invasion of both HT1080 melanoma and A2058 fibrosarcoma cells. The lack of cytotoxic effects could render this peptide useful as a potential antimetastatic agent. Peptide 74 inhibits the activated form of the 72-kDa type IV collagenase in vitro. |
