| Description | Neuropeptide W-23 (rat) also called NPW-23 (rat), rL8, Preproprotein L8 (42-64) (rat), rPPL8 (42-64). Immunohistochemical studies using an antiserum against rat neuropeptide W-23 revealed a limited distribution of the peptide in the rat brain. The pattern of distribution in the hypothalamus corroborates a possible role of NPW-23 on prolactin release and feeding behavior reported by others. |
