Description MMP-13 Substrate also called Mca-Pro-β-cyclohexyl-Ala-Gly-Nva-His-Ala-Dap(Dnp)-NH2, is a specific fluorogenic (FRET) substrate for collagenase-3 (MMP-13) with a kcat/Km value of 1.09 · 10⁶ M-1s-1 (pH = 7.5, T = 25 °C, substrate concentrations: 0.7 and 1.4 µM (S << Km), determined for activated recombinant collagenase-3). Collagenase-3 hydrolyzed MMP-13 Substrate 70 - 100 fold more efficiently than collagenase-2 (MMP-8) and collagenase-1 (MMP-1).
