Description Kentsin also called Contraceptive Tetrapeptide, was first isolated from the oviductal lumen of progravid female hamsters. Kentsin shows opioid-like activity without binding to opioid receptors. Kentsin prevents the maturation of Graafian follicles and consequently inhibits ovulation.
