Description H-Ala-Ala-OH is a substrate for a fluorometric assay of urinary dipeptidase activity. H-Ala-Ala-OH (dialanine) was found to inhibit the rooting of germinating seeds. H-Ala-Ala-OH acts as an efficient enatioselective catalyst in aldol reactions.
