Description Glutathione-monoisopropyl ester (reduced) is a glutathione analog, it is more readily transported into cells than glutathione. It has been shown to reduce mortality in rats subjected to occlusion of the bilateral carotid arteries. This suggests that this compound possesses protective effects against cerebral ischemia, presumably due in part to inhibition of lipid peroxidative responses.
