| Description | Glutathione-monoethyl ester (reduced) is effectively transported into many cell types including erythrocytes and converted intracellularly into glutathione. The compound may therefore be useful as a protective agent against the effects of radiation and other types of toxicity as well as in experiments on glutathione transport, metabolism, and function. |
