Description The thiopeptolide Ac-Pro-Leu-Gly-psi[COS]Leu-Leu-Gly-OEt is used as substrate in a rapid, sensitive, continuous spectrophotometric assay for vertebrate collagenase, gelatinase A, and gelatinase B. Besides the mercaptan to be determined, cleavage yields Ac-PLG.
