Biological Activity
| Targets | IC50: 1 nM (CRLR/RAMP1, cell assay), 300 nM (CRLR/RAMP2, cell assay)[1] |
| ln Vitro | Human β-CGRP is a calcitonin peptide that functions via a complex of calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR) and receptor activity modifying protein (RAMP) with an IC50 of 1 nM. NG108-15 and HEK293T cells that express CRLR and RAMP2 express 130 nM and 300 nM, respectively [1]. SK-N-MC and Swiss 3T3 cells both express CRLR and RAMP1, and SK-N-MC and Swiss 3T3 cells express both CRLR and RAMP1 [1]. In addition to being a strong vasodilator, CGRP has anti- and pro-inflammatory properties [2]. |
