Biological Activity

Targets IC50: 1 nM (CRLR/RAMP1, cell assay), 300 nM (CRLR/RAMP2, cell assay)[1]
ln Vitro Human β-CGRP is a calcitonin peptide that functions via a complex of calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR) and receptor activity modifying protein (RAMP) with an IC50 of 1 nM. NG108-15 and HEK293T cells that express CRLR and RAMP2 express 130 nM and 300 nM, respectively [1]. SK-N-MC and Swiss 3T3 cells both express CRLR and RAMP1, and SK-N-MC and Swiss 3T3 cells express both CRLR and RAMP1 [1]. In addition to being a strong vasodilator, CGRP has anti- and pro-inflammatory properties [2].

*Note: Please select an appropriate solvent for the preparation of stock solution based on your experiment needs. For most products, DMSO can be used for preparing stock solutions (e.g. 5 mM, 10 mM, or 20 mM concentration); some products with high aqueous solubility may be dissolved in water directly. Solubility information is available at the above Solubility Data section. Once the stock solution is prepared, aliquot it to routine usage volumes and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
