Biological Activity
Targets | Bacterial[1] |
ln Vivo | Sulfamethazine (80 mg/kg; intravenous injection; healthy female pigs) therapy considerably increases t1/2α, Vd, and CIB and significantly reduces α, β, and AUC0->∞. The absolute bioavailability of Sulfamethazine in pigs is 1.01 after a single intramuscular dosage of 80 mg/kg[1]. |
Animal Protocol |
Animal/Disease Models: 19 healthy female pigs (6weeks old, 4.5-6.2 kg)[1] Doses: 80 mg/kg Route of Administration: intravenous (iv)injection (pharmacokinetic/PK study) Experimental Results: The half-life in distribution phase is 0.23 h and half-lifes in eliminations phase is 9.8 h. α, β and the AUC0->∞ were Dramatically diminished and t1 /2α, Vd and CIB were Dramatically increased, and the absolute bioavailability in pigs is 1.01. |

DMSO : 250 mg/mL (832.47 mM) H2O : 100 mg/mL (332.99 mM) |
Solubility (In Vivo) |
Solubility in Formulation 1: ≥ 2.08 mg/mL (6.93 mM) (saturation unknown) in 10% DMSO + 90% Corn Oil (add these co-solvents sequentially from left to right, and one by one), clear solution. For example, if 1 mL of working solution is to be prepared, you can add 100 μL of 20.8 mg/mL clear DMSO stock solution to 900 μL of corn oil and mix evenly.  (Please use freshly prepared in vivo formulations for optimal results.) |
