SARS-CoV-IN-2 is a potent inhibitor of SARS-CoV replication. In Vero cells, SARS-CoV-IN 1 is antiviral with EC50 of 1.9 μM. SARS-CoV-IN-2 inhibits P. falciparum 3D7 and W2 strains with IC50s of 21.5 and 30 nM, respectively; IC90s of 51.0 and 99.9 nM, respectively. In MT-4 cells, SARS-CoV-IN-2 reduced HIV-1-induced cytopathic effects with EC50 of 2.9 μM. Has antimalarial and anti-viral effect.

Biological Activity


ln Vitro SARS-CoV-IN-2 (compound 3) is significantly more effective than chloroquine (CQ) at preventing Plasmodium falciparum from growing in vitro [1].

Solubility (In Vivo) Solubility in Formulation 1: ≥ 1.92 mg/mL (4.21 mM) (saturation unknown) in 10% DMSO + 90% (20% SBE-β-CD in Saline) (add these co-solvents sequentially from left to right, and one by one), clear solution.
For example, if 1 mL of working solution is to be prepared, you can add 100 μL of 19.2 mg/mL clear DMSO stock solution to 900 μL of 20% SBE-β-CD physiological saline solution and mix evenly.
Preparation of 20% SBE-β-CD in Saline (4°C,1 week): Dissolve 2 g SBE-β-CD in 10 mL saline to obtain a clear solution.
