Biological Activity
| ln Vitro | RFRP-3 (10-1000 ng/mL, 24 h) can significantly reduce the secretion of progesterone, but not estradiol, in mouse ovarian granulosa cells[1]. RFRP-3 (10-1000 ng/mL, 24 h) inhibits steroidogenesis and FSHR in mouse ovarian granulosa cells (inhibits p450scc, 3β-HSD, StAR and FSHR)[1]. RFRP-3 (10-1000 ng/mL, 24 h) induces apoptosis in mouse ovarian granulosa cells and reduces Bcl-2 protein expression and increases p53 protein expression at moderate doses [1]. RFRP-3 (10-1000 ng/mL, 24 h) inhibits the ERK signaling pathway (p-ERK1/2 protein) in mouse ovarian granulosa cells[1]. |
| Cell Assay |
Real Time qPCR[1] Cell Types: Granulosa cells Tested Tested Concentrations: 10, 100, 1000 ng/mL Incubation Duration: 24 h Experimental Results: Reduced p450scc mRNA expression at 100 ng/mL, but did not significantly alter p450scc expression at low dose (10 ng/mL) and high dose (1000 ng/mL). Reduced 3β-HSD, FSHR and StAR expression at 100 ng/mL and 1000 ng/mL, whereas had no significant effect at 10 ng/mL. |
