Biological Activity

ln Vitro Compound 4e, Nrf2-ARE/hMAO-B/QR2 modulator 1 (100 μM; 24 hours) decreases SH-SY5Y cell survival by approximately 30%[1]. Following a 24-hour pre-treatment period and a 24-hour coincubation period with 10 nM okadaic acid (OA), Nrf2-ARE/hMAO-B/QR2 modulator 1 (1 μM) dramatically boosts the cell survival of OA-treated rat primary cortical neurons to 70–80%[1]. In mouse NSCs isolated from SGZ, Nrf2-ARE /hMAO-B/QR2 modulator 1 (10 μM) exhibits the longest distance of cell migration and the highest expression of young cells (TuJ-1) and mature neurons (MAP-2)[1]. In mouse hippocampus slices exposed to OA, Nrf2-ARE/hMAO-B/QR2 modulator 1 (1 μM; 72 hours) provides neuroprotection, lowers cell death, and reduces ROS production[1].

Solubility Data

Solubility (In Vitro) May dissolve in DMSO (in most cases), if not, try other solvents such as H2O, Ethanol, or DMF with a minute amount of products to avoid loss of samples
Solubility (In Vivo) Solubility in Formulation 1: ≥ 2.08 mg/mL (8.12 mM) (saturation unknown) in 10% DMSO + 90% Corn Oil (add these co-solvents sequentially from left to right, and one by one), clear solution.
For example, if 1 mL of working solution is to be prepared, you can add 100 μL of 20.8 mg/mL clear DMSO stock solution to 900 μL of corn oil and mix evenly.

(Please use freshly prepared in vivo formulations for optimal results.)

*Note: Please select an appropriate solvent for the preparation of stock solution based on your experiment needs. For most products, DMSO can be used for preparing stock solutions (e.g. 5 mM, 10 mM, or 20 mM concentration); some products with high aqueous solubility may be dissolved in water directly. Solubility information is available at the above Solubility Data section. Once the stock solution is prepared, aliquot it to routine usage volumes and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
