NS-5806 (NS5806) is a novel and potent potassium current KV4.3 channel activator which increases KV4.3/KChIP2 peak current amplitudes with an EC50 of 5.3 μM. NS5806 slows KV4.3 and KV4.2 current dacay in channel complexes containing KChIP.

Biological Activity
| ln Vitro | In CHO-K1 cells, NS5806 (10 μM) causes a 65% increase in the concentration requirement for KV4.3/KChIP2/DPP6 peak current rising, a slowdown in the inactivation time course (τ), and an EC50 value of 25.4 μM [1]. With an IC50 of 40.7 nM and an EC50 of 1.6 nM, the canine instantaneous outward potassium current (Ito) both stimulates and inhibits rabbits [2]. Effects of NS5806 (10-100 nM) on atrial and ventricular Ito are concentration-dependent [2]. |

Solubility in Formulation 1: ≥ 2.08 mg/mL (3.62 mM) (saturation unknown) in 10% DMSO + 90% Corn Oil (add these co-solvents sequentially from left to right, and one by one), clear solution. For example, if 1 mL of working solution is to be prepared, you can add 100 μL of 20.8 mg/mL clear DMSO stock solution to 900 μL of corn oil and mix evenly.  (Please use freshly prepared in vivo formulations for optimal results.) |
