NF-κΒ activator 2 is a potent and orally bioactive NF-ΒΒ activator with EC50 of 1.58 μM. NF-κΒ activator 2 induces SOD2 by increasing the expression and activation of NF-κB. NF-κΒ activator 2 may be utilized in the study of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Biological Activity


Targets NF-κB 1.58 μM (EC50)
ln Vitro In SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells, NF-κΒ activator 2 (compound 61) (1 μM, 6 h) stimulates SOD2 mRNA expression[1].
ln Vivo In mice, NF-κB activator 2 (1 mg/kg; iv) has an appropriate half-life of 0.96 hours[1]. Comparable half-lives (2.86 hours), oral bioavailability (15.6%), and Cmaxes (92 ng/mL) are shown by NF-κΒ activator 2 (5 mg/kg; po)[1].
