Biological Activity
| Targets | IC50: 9 μM (ACE)[1]. |
| ln Vitro | Angiotensin I converting enzyme (ACE) may be inhibited by H-Val-Pro-Pro-OH (TFA), a derivative of proline peptides, with an IC50 of 9 μM[1]. In 3T3-F442A pre-adipocytes, H-Val-Pro-Pro-OH (TFA) may improve insulin sensitivity and avoid insulin resistance. Additionally, H-Val-Pro-Pro-OH (TFA) has anti-inflammatory and anti-hypertensive properties. H-Val-Pro-Pro-OH (TFA)) improves adipocytes' expression of the glucose transporter 4 (GLUT4) and helps TNF-treated adipocytes' ability to absorb glucose[2]. |
