| ln Vivo | During the second hour of a 2-hour 11 mM hyperglycemic clamp, infusion of GLP-1(7-37) (0.5, 5, or 50 pmol/min/kg) resulted in a dose-related rise in glucose-stimulated plasma insulin. Animal/Disease Models: Male SD (SD (Sprague-Dawley)) rats, weighing 300 to 350 g, were administered intravenous (iv) (iv)glucose at a variable rate for 7 hrs (hrs (hours)) to maintain plasma glucose concentration at 11 mM [2]. Doses: 5 pmol/min/kg. Route of Administration: intravenous (iv) (iv)injection 1 hour to 7 hrs (hrs (hours)) [2]. Experimental Results: Plasma insulin concentrations were consistently increased compared to vehicle-injected rats.
