Fibrostat (Compound 5n) is a selective HDAC6 inhibitor that exerts anti-fibrotic function by inhibiting HDAC6 activity. The IC50 value for HDAC6 is 63 nM, and it shows good selectivity for HDAC1, HDAC3, HDAC5, HDAC8, HDAC10 and HDAC11. Fibrostat can significantly downregulate the expression of fibrosis markers (fibronectin and collagen 1) in fibroblasts. Fibrostat showed no toxicity in rat perfused heart and zebrafish larvae experiments. Fibrostat is expected to be used in the study of diseases related to fibrosis.

*Note: Please select an appropriate solvent for the preparation of stock solution based on your experiment needs. For most products, DMSO can be used for preparing stock solutions (e.g. 5 mM, 10 mM, or 20 mM concentration); some products with high aqueous solubility may be dissolved in water directly. Solubility information is available at the above Solubility Data section. Once the stock solution is prepared, aliquot it to routine usage volumes and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
