Esmolol acid (ASL-8123) hydrochloride is a weak β-adrenergic receptor antagonist. Esmolol acid hydrochloride dose-dependently inhibits the heart rate and diastolic blood pressure responses induced by isoproterenol and can be used in renal failure research.
