Biological Activity
| Additional Infomation |
Keto-D-fructose is the open-chain form of D-fructose. It is a keto-fructose and a D-fructose. It is an enantiomer of a keto-L-fructose. D-(-)-Fructose has been reported in Maclura pomifera, Rehmannia glutinosa, and other organisms with data available. D-Fructose is a metabolite found in or produced by Saccharomyces cerevisiae. A monosaccharide in sweet fruits and honey that is soluble in water, alcohol, or ether. It is used as a preservative and an intravenous infusion in parenteral feeding.
