L-Ascorbic acid 2-phosphate trisodium (2-Phospho-L-ascorbic acid trisodium) is a long-acting vitamin C analogue that can stimulate the expression and formation of collagen. L-Ascorbic acid 2-phosphate trisodium (2-Phospho-L-ascorbic acid trisodium) can be used as a culture medium to supplement the osteogenic differentiation of human adipose stem cells (hASCs). L-Ascorbic acid 2-phosphate trisodium (2-Phospho-L-ascorbic acid trisodium) increases alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity and runx2A expression in hASCs during osteoblast differentiation.

Biological Activity

ln Vitro While addition of L-ascorbic acid (Asc) only marginally enhanced cell growth, trisodium L-ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (0.1-1.5 mM; media changes every 2 to 3 days for 2 to 3 weeks) greatly stimulated cell growth. stimulation of growth. Cell growth is greatly enhanced by the combination of Asc-2P and bFGF; however, additional effects are not produced by the addition of EGF or insulin [1]. Higher doses of AsA2-P lead to enhanced runx2 expression and ALP activity. L-ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (50 µM-250 µM) trisodium is required for the efficient osteogenic differentiation of human adipose stem cells (hASC). The combinations of 150 µM asA2-P and 10 nM dexamethasone (Dex) and 250 µM asA2-P and 5 nM Dex produced the maximum proliferation, ALP activity, and runx2 expression [3].

For most products, DMSO can be used for preparing stock solutions (e.g. 5 mM, 10 mM, or 20 mM concentration); some products with high aqueous solubility may be dissolved in water directly. Solubility information is available at the above Solubility Data section. Once the stock solution is prepared, aliquot it to routine usage volumes and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
