Description Trientine-2HCl (Trien), a chelating agent, is used to treat Wilson's disease by binding up and removing copper in the body. Trientine can also be used as a chelating agent for copper in hepatolenticular degeneration, as a stabilizer for epoxy resins, and as ampholyte for isoelectric focusing.
