Description NBD-556 is a small molecule mimetic of CD4. NBD-556 recognizes the HIV-1 envelope protein gp120 and induces restructuring of gp120 analogous to CD4 binding.
In vitro NBD-556 N-phenyl-N′-(2,2,6,6-四甲基-哌啶-4-基)-草酰胺类似物是一类新型的人类免疫缺陷病毒类型1(HIV-1)入侵抑制剂,能阻塞gp120与CD4的相互作用。这种小分子NBD-556通过与gp120外部包膜糖蛋白结合来模拟CD4,适度抑制病毒进入表达CD4的目标细胞,并增强CCR5结合及病毒进入缺乏CD4表达的CCR5表达细胞。
