Description Janelia Fluor 585, SE (JF585, SE) is an orange fluorescent dye containing an NHS ester that can be conjugated with primary amine groups. Janelia Fluor 585, SE can be used immediately for structured illumination (SIM) and stimulated emission depletion (STED) imaging and could be converted to photoactivatable derivative for single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM) experiments.
In vitro Maximum absorption wavelength (λabs)=585 nm, maximum emission wavelength (λem)=609 nm[1]. The JF585-SNAP-tag ligand (24) also functioned as a cellular label. The new HaloTag ligands derived from JF585 and JF635 show a high degree of chromogenicity and fluorogenicity, a critical parameter in advanced imaging experiments[1].
