Description Bactenecin is a cyclic antimicrobial peptide isolated from bovine neutrophils with potent activity against Bacterial and Fungal species.
In vitro Bactenecin is a potent 12-aa looped antimicrobial peptide isolated from bovine neutrophils. Bactenecin increases membrane permeability and inhibits the growth and biofilm formation of B. pseudomallei. Bactenecin inhibits the growth of bacteria and yeast and kills the fungus Trichophyton rubrum.
