Description α-Factor Mating Pheromone, yeast acetate (Mating Factor α acetate) is a peptide of 13 amino acids secreted by Saccharomyces cerevisiae α cells.
In vitro α-Factor Mating Pheromone(酵母)由MATα细胞持续合成,并作用于MATa细胞[1]。它能抑制酵母a细胞的分裂周期,并与haploid a细胞中的35S-α-factor竞争结合,结合常数Kd为0.3 μM。这种结合与五种温度敏感的ste2突变体有关,且具有热不稳定性。然而,α-Factor Mating Pheromone(酵母)与其他温度敏感突变体(ste4, ste5, ste7, ste11, 和 ste12)的结合活性表现出无温度敏感性[2]。
